Who we are
Solar Vest Team is a solar installation business owned by Marcus Schlachter and based at 16966 County Road 45, Holyoke, CO 80734. We install rooftop solar for homes, solar systems for farms and ranches, and small commercial systems across the Eastern Plains, and we provide energy assessments and maintenance follow-through. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to answer you and do our work:
- Contact details you give us. When you call, email, or use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write in your message — for example, your address or a description of your roof or outbuilding.
- Project information. If we visit your site, we may note details that matter for a solar design: roof condition, shading, panel location, and power usage history. This is job information, and we treat it with the same care as personal details.
- Basic website analytics. Our hosting may record standard technical logs such as pages visited, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser type, and referring page. We use these in aggregate to understand whether the site is useful — not to build profiles of individuals.

How we use information
We use the information above to respond to questions, schedule site visits, prepare proposals, carry out installations, arrange maintenance, and meet record-keeping obligations. We may use your contact details to follow up on a project we've already discussed — checking that a system is producing as expected, for example. Legal bases
Where privacy law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on: your consent (for example, when you send us a message), the performance of a contract or steps toward one (preparing and carrying out a solar project), our legitimate interest in running and improving a small business website, and compliance with legal obligations such as tax and warranty records.
Cookies and similar technology

Third parties
We share information only when it is necessary to do the work: for example, our web hosting provider (which processes site traffic on our behalf), equipment suppliers involved in a warranty claim, your electric utility where interconnection paperwork requires it, or inspectors and authorities where the law requires. We ask any service provider we use to handle your information responsibly and only for the purpose we hired them for. If a project involves financing arranged by a third party, we will tell you clearly before any information moves in that direction — and only with your go-ahead.
Retention
We keep contact and project records for as long as they are useful for warranty and service purposes, and for as long as law requires for business records. If you ask us to delete information that we are not legally required to keep, we will do so.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or limit certain uses, and to withdraw consent at any time.
